Our 10 tips to slow down

 

Slow living is sometimes easier said than done. Slow living means making time to really enjoy what you are doing. Slowing down is a conscious choice and not always an easy one. It requires conscious effort. That is why we have listed a number of tips for you.

Our slow living tips:

  1. Start your day by taking 5 minutes to breathe, center, and set your intention.

  2. Practice daily moments of gratitude for a positive mindset and to bring you back to the present moment. For example, while brushing your teeth, at the table with your loved ones or friends or when you are in nature.

  3. Take a deep breath if you feel rushed or stressed. Pause and take a few deep breaths.

  4. Do less and focus on what really matters, leave the rest for what it is.

  5. Get outside and enjoy all the beauty that nature has to offer. Maybe our walking meditation will help.

  6. Go completely offline for a while. Turn off your phone and computer.

  7. Concentrate on one thing at a time instead of multitasking.

  8. Say no more often when your calendar and social calendar is too full. Protect yourself.

  9. Focus on people, listen carefully and really connect with people instead of just meeting them.

  10. Be present, pay attention to what you are doing right now.
